Understanding what safeguarding and child protection are

In module 1 you will understand the importance of safeguarding and child protection and the key challenges that schools may face in delivering effective provision.

Safeguarding awareness and recognising signs of abuse

Module 2 will explore the minimum requirements that all staff must be aware of around child protection and how children might suffer different forms of abuse.

The roles and responsibilities of safeguarding leaders

In module 3 you will learn about key policy requirements around child protection and the designated roles and responsibilities of safeguarding and child protection leaders.

Safer recruitment and offending behaviour

Module 4 will discuss how schools should implement robust and effective recruitment procedures, maintain confidentiality and manage disclosures from children.
