Anne Cathie

Anne Cathie’s 30 years of experience in education settings saw her advocate for the importance of student-centred teaching that encourages children to learn, and subsequently thrive, at their own pace. 

Formally a member of the SLT and also as a SENCO in early years, Anne’s teaching career also saw her playing an integral role in implementing forest school experiences at Collingwood Junior school. Here she equipped children with outdoor skills and imbued them with curiosity about the world around them. 

Having recently retired from full-time teaching, Anne is now able to draw upon a career’s worth of nursery, reception and key stage 1 experience as she enjoys a part-time role leading drama class for young children.
