Heather Cardwell is a practising online safety lead, Phase 5 leader, experienced teacher and acting assistant headteacher. She has successfully developed and implemented online safety practice in schools, delivered training to school staff and parents and has been instrumental in the creation and development of a bespoke online safety policy which was rolled out to her local network of educational settings.
Heather has over 10 years’ experience as a computing lead before becoming an online safety lead. She has taught students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 across Years 2,4,5 and 6 and led in the development of her own online safety team at her school, including the school link governor and headteacher. She is CEOP trained and is passionate about safeguarding online, educating her pupils around online risks, preparing them for the future and ensuring they become exemplary digital citizens.
