About The Lesson Plan

Brand new for 2021-22, our new interactive virtual lesson plans will bring your classroom to life!

Developed in line with and to support statutory policy and recommended guidance

Our brand-new lesson plans are directly aligned to and support the:

  • UKCIS ‘Education for a Connected World’ framework
  • DfE ‘Relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education’ statutory curriculum
  • DfE ‘Teaching online safety in school’ guidance

What are they?

Based on the eight key topics outlined in the UKCIS ‘Education for a Connected World’ framework, our updated EYFS, key stage 1 and key stage 2 interactive virtual lessons talk to the children about online dangers in a fun and engaging way, providing a truly immersive experience. Each virtual lesson has a range of accompanying activities to support learning and helps to provide young children with the knowledge to protect themselves from online risks.

Why have we produced them?

Because schools told us to. We were told that capturing children’s attention around online safety was no easy task. So we listened and we went away, and we innovated. We realised schools needed something which was imaginative, engaging and to which children could relate to. We brought in a children’s TV star with global appeal. We brought in a sense of entertainment. And we married online safety with classroom-based learning to create fun, engaging and interactive virtual lesson plans which encourage and inspire children to learn about a range of online risks. Teachers asked for our help, so we delivered.

Based on the 8 topics outlined in the UKCIS “Education for a Connected World” Framework, our lesson plans cover:

  • Self-Image & Identity
  • Online Relationships
  • Online Reputation
  • Online Bullying
  • Managing Online Information
  • Health, Wellbeing & Lifestyle
  • Privacy & Security
  • Copyright & Ownership

How do the lesson plans work?

Our interactive video lesson plans work hand-in-hand with our downloadable lesson packs to ensure both you and your class receive a comprehensive learning experience.
