What to expect from our webinar:

On 4th January 2018, the Children’s Commissioner published Life in ‘likes’, a report into social media usage among 8 to 12 year olds. The findings bring to light that most social media platforms have a minimum age limit of 13, but the research shows a growing number of children under 13 are using social media, with 3 in 4 children aged 10-12 having their own accounts. The report calls for schools to bigger role in preparing children for social media’s emotional demands and minimise social media risk. The digital world is an exciting place for children to explore but changing all the time so how do schools safeguard their pupils online?

The National Online Safety ‘Minimising Social Media Risks for Schools’ webinar is an excellent starting point. The webinar is perfect for school leaders, teachers and DSLs interested in finding out more about safeguarding pupils on social media.
