Online Safety E-Learning Course for Designated Safeguarding Leads
**Available to access during summer, in preparation for the DfE revised statutory guidance coming into effect on 3rd September 2018**
This CPD certified course is aimed to extend the DSLs existing knowledge around managing Online Safety risks in schools. The training will examine how children are using technology and the responsibilities that DSLs have to governors, teachers, children, parents and the wider community in ensuring that children are supported in staying safe whilst online. It will look at potential uses and implications of new technology and how to counteract problems when faced with them.
We will explore how DSLs can influence others using various techniques to drive safer internet messages. The course will also address the rationale and strategies for implementation of best practice to help to build and sustain online safety knowledge across the school and wider community.
