The online world is an amazing place for children and young people to
discover new things. There’s a proportion of content, however, that young
people are at risk of finding accidentally which could damage their mental and emotional
wellbeing. Understandably, it’s one of the major areas of online safety concern for parents and
carers: Ofcom’s ‘Children and Parents: Media Use and Attitudes 2022’ report, in
fact, highlighted that seven out of ten parents worry about their child being
exposed to age-inappropriate content while exploring the internet.
